Year 2 pupils from Oasis Academy Putney recently attended the launch of London's biggest bug hotel at Barn Elms in south-west London. The site, which was restored by Tideway as part of the Super Sewer project, now boasts more than 100 acres of wetland and more than a dozen sports pitches next to Beverley Brook, a tributary of the River Thames.
Some of our pupils even had the opportunity to be featured in a video about the project, which showcases the restoration work and highlights the importance of preserving green spaces in urban areas.
